Health: Finding Balance out of Routine

Health Away from home

Health doesn’t mean being “on track” 100% of the time.

I always tell clients that the end goal is to achieve intuitive eating. The ability to listen to the body and trust the cues it’s sending you and then follow through on those signals, is no easy feat.

It’s certainly easier when you are home and on your normal schedule and workout routine. But understanding that sometimes that will look different, is so important to long-term success.

For me, this last trip after following another trip just a week prior, meant more discipline with meals I could control (without stressing if macros were perfect) but then enjoying the evening meal mom had planned for the family and stopping when full.

The exercise wasn’t in the gym; it was biking, swimming, paddle boarding, or simply waking. And more than that, it was knowing that my body felt tired going into the trip so I put sleep and rest over activity.
